Today we went to the Essen Motorshow. Never been there before, but heard some positive sounds about it, so time to finally take a look there.

One thing is for sure, it isn’t expensive. If you buy your tickets online they’re only 10 euro’s, and parking is 4 euro’s, so that’s not too bad.

Pretty interesting was the amount of Dutchies over there. Judging by the language being spoken I think at least 50% of vistors were Dutch today 😊.

The first thing that drew my attention was that Dbilas still showcased their intake manifold for the Speedster? That’s hardly new, its been around for ages!

Also, on the whole show, the only thing comming close to an Elise or a Speedster was this one:

Would have expected more from the real tuners.

But we did see some nice Westfields though (no Micha, these were Zetec’s 😉 )

We did find some other cars, other then all the standard Lambo’s, Ferrari’s etc. This Opel for example.

This nice hotrod.

And not quite a car, but still with a V8 from a TVR Tuscan producing 425hp, a pretty quick trike.

And there even was 1 nice Audi.

Pretty cool were the cars for Formula Student. This example has a very nice single shock/spring front suspension.

There were also quite a lot of bikes. From a Viper V10 engine

To an Aston Martin V12

And even some interesting scooter creations 😊

On the exhaust field we did find these nice looking titanium items.

And a nice cut out of a HJS kat 😊

And there also were wheels, load of wheels. Most of them even more boring then the rest. But there were some highlights.

And finally there seems to be a trend to downsize police cars!

We also stopped by the Sandtler stand to pick up a free catalog (thanks to Raymond (Dutch Power Trading)!).

It was nice to see the event. I was a bit disappointed by how interesting it was, not many new things. It is big though. You need most of the day if you want to see everything.
